2009 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS (8/16)
- finish SKOM. no, really. (i’m totally not gonna do it) —- WILL NEVER BE DONE
- stay away from fests —- DONE
- cut back on facebook but keep posting regularly in my xanga —- NOT DONE
- do something useful this summer if i don’t get into ICS; if i do, enjoy it!!! —- DONE
- work out regularly, i.e. at least three times a week (when i have access to a gym) —- DEFINITELY NOT DONE
- EITHER attend a taping of american idol OR try out for american idol —- DONE
- meet at least one more online friend (hopefully chungsol or sillyslut if they transfer!!) —- DONE
- umm… i’m gonna have to be one of the losers who makes “get a boyfriend” one of her new year’s resolutions :( I HATE MYSELF. —- NOT DONE
- get a job. i no longer have any excuses, since i finally have my SSN. —- DONE
- go to a gay and/or lesbian club! —- NOT DONE
- put effort into one of my screenplays and be proud of the final product… either that, or actually write out the mark smeaton feature outline —- HALF DONE
- get involved with at least one more on-campus organisation, preferably an annenberg one —- DONE
- get through all of these articles —- NOT DONE
- keep writing. i know, i want to give this up, but… i can’t. i need to find it in myself to keep trying. —- NOT DONE
- stay in touch with my old MN friends, namely steph, amy, and jaymz —- DONE
- be a better listener… i want to be a good friend, and listening is the place to start :) —- HALF DONE

2010 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS
- lose weight (it’s not gonna happen)
- have an amazing time in london
- get another piercing or a tattoo
- land at least two internships
- write a merlin fic
- go to a gay/lesbian bar. seriously, i have no excuses once i turn 21.
- don’t forget harry potter :(
- start putting effort into school again
- start my job search early. i can’t afford to fuck that up.

GLEE creator Ryan Murphy has revealed to Billboard.com that the next installment of GLEE, beginning April 13, 2010 on Fox at 9pm, will feature a whole episode of original music.

Says Murphy:”I’ve had a lot of calls from songwriters, to the point where it’s kind of embarrassing and ridiculous,” he says. “So we’re writing an episode called ‘Original Song’ where the teacher asks the kids to write their own piece of music. Diane Warren is going to do two big ballads, and if it works, we’ll see what happens … but we won’t do it all the time.”

One writer who may be contributing to the episode is Ryan Tedder of the band OneRepublic, who co-wrote the song Halo with Beyoncé that appeared on GLEE as part of a mash up with Walking on Sunshine. Tedder tells Idolator.com:

“Glee is actually my new addiction. I download every episode. They actually just approached me. Adam Anders, the guy who does all the music, approached me about two weeks ago to do original music for the next season. So I’m gonna be doing at least one song for the next season that’s original.”

listen up, all you misunderstood teenagers. here’s a secret no one bothers to tell you: there is nothing wrong with being single. you may feel like having your first kiss or losing your virginity is the most important thing in the world, but it’s not. school is important. friends are important. your future is important. having guys hanging all over you is not a measure of self-worth. and yeah, you may think no one ~understands how you feel, but trust me, i do. i’m 20 and i still haven’t had a boyfriend, but you know what? fuck the people who think nabbing a cute boy means they’re suddenly desirable or popular or whatever stupid social quality they so desire. they’re wrong.

i know referencing a taylor swift song is probably counter-productive here, but anyone who feels the same way as this secret maker needs to listen to “fifteen.” if your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team. <— this is true. there are more important things at stake than your love life. it’s probably difficult for you to see past your own problems and grasp that right now, but in time you’ll come to realise it.
